Where is ColGlen?

How you get to Colintraive and Glendaruel depends on the time of day you are travelling and your start point. Essentially you must choose between the road route over the Rest and Be Thankful and a ferry route across the Clyde to Dunoon or Rothesay. See the map below for the general idea.

How do I get my news item on the front page?

The site is set-up to publish only “News” on the front page. So if you want a press release to show up on the front page you’ll need to classify it as news as well as business in the Categories tab to the right of the text box in the Write Post section.

How are new categories started?

Through admin. Just comment below with a request for the category and a description of 8-10 words and if appropriate it will be actioned as soon as the comment is received.

When you register, please include as many details on your profile as possible. This will help admin sort the wheat from the chaff. Our policy is that anyone can join, but there really should be a concrete connection with the area - even if it is because you come on holiday here every year and just want to keep up with what is going on.

This website is all-inclusive and will not exclude anyone on the basis of race or gender. However we do reserve the right to delete or alter any content which users may find offensive.
